Rose Wood was born in a San Francisco Victorian and grew up in the Santa Cruz Mountains—first in a log cabin on 160 acres in Corralitos and then in an off-the-grid solar house she helped her father build in Boulder Creek. She has since owned and remodeled homes in San Francisco and throughout Santa Cruz County. Currently, Rose and her family live on a twenty-acre mountaintop in sunny Corralitos.
Her professional career in customer service and sales began at seventeen when Rose went to work for the software company The Santa Cruz Operation (SCO). She then earned her Real Estate license in 2002. Today, Rose works with all types of residential properties and specializes in country properties, including those with wells, private road associations and septic systems.
Rose and her husband, an electrical engineer, have raised two sons. One is now in Norway attending international business college and the other is attending the United States Naval Academy after earning his private pilots license.
An active community member, Rose has worked with a local company to provide high-speed wireless Internet service to rural customers, and as an involved parent has volunteered and fundraised extensively at her sons’ schools. She is a member of the Santa Cruz Mountains Stewardship Network's Spotlight Stewardship Program and also manages the "Corralitos Community News" Facebook page. When she's not working, Rose is caring for her 14 chickens, 4 dogs and 2 cats, hiking, mountain biking, working on her community's road association, wine tasting, traveling, researching family genealogy, or celebrating the natural beauty of the Monterey Bay with family and friends.
Rose first met and worked with Ben Strock (Broker & Owner of Strock Real Estate) thirteen years ago and is pleased to be working with him again. Contact Rose Wood today so she can assist you in reaching your Real Estate goals!
